AI startup Lazuli wins Excellence Award at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s “New Distribution DX Contest Utilizing a Product Information Platform”
Press Release
Recognition for streamlining product information registration with “Lazuli PDP” and contributing to distribution DX
On February 16, 2026, Lazuli Inc., which provides the product data platform “Lazuli PDP” (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Seigen Hagiwara; hereinafter Lazuli), announced that it has received an Excellence Award in the “New Distribution DX Contest utilizing the Product Information Platform” hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
The “New Distribution DX Contest utilizing the Product Information Platform (hereinafter, this contest)” is an open-call contest that solicits and recognizes innovative ideas and systems that use authentic data from the “Product Information Platform” promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to solve issues in the distribution industry and supply chains. Proposals aimed at creating new businesses through data utilization, transforming business practices, and improving efficiency through DX were evaluated for startups and retail tech companies.
In this award, the technology for integrating and structuring product data with “Lazuli PDP” was evaluated as extremely effective in “supporting manufacturers in registering product information,” a key theme of this contest.
Through automatic data extraction, structuring, and category inference using generative AI, the ability to dramatically streamline product registration tasks that previously required significant effort, and the vision of accelerating data standardization across the entire industry and distribution DX with the “Product Information Platform” at the core, have been highly regarded as an approach directly connected to solving practical challenges.
Lazuli will appear as an award-winning company at “Retailtech JAPAN 2026,” held from March 3 to 6, 2026, and will speak at the seminars below. Representative Director Seigen Hagiwara will discuss the future of distribution DX and our efforts in this contest together with a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry representative and other award-winning companies.
