Lazuli Inc. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Seigen Hagiwara; hereinafter "Lazuli"), developed and provided by AI technology-enabled SaaS cloud-based product master "Lazuli PDP," began a trial introduction at Sangetsu Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nagoya, Aichi; Representative Director, President and CEO: Yasumasa Kondo; hereinafter "Sangetsu") on June 1, 2024, with the aim of automating the work involved in enriching product data, advancing analysis through data enrichment, and promoting the use of data in product development.
Sangetsu is an interior company headquartered in Nishi Ward, Nagoya, Aichi, that comprehensively handles products such as wallpaper, flooring, and curtains, which are widely used from residential to non-residential spaces. Until now, Sangetsu has manually extracted information such as the colors and attributes of the products it handles, which required a great deal of time and effort and resulted in limited information. In addition, because the work was done by people, the color identified when looking at the same color differed from person to person, making it difficult to maintain consistent attribute information, which was a major challenge. To solve these issues, Sangetsu decided to introduce "Lazuli PDP" on a trial basis.
"Lazuli PDP" learns the colors and attributes defined by Sangetsu in AI and enables the assignment of unified product attribute information from images of products such as wallpaper and flooring provided by Sangetsu. By automating and standardizing as much as possible the creation, collection, and management of product attribute data, which would otherwise require a great deal of manpower to create manually, Sangetsu aims to advance analysis, promote the use of data in product development, and improve its sales proposal capabilities. Going forward, it will also continue development and verification toward the full-scale expansion of businesses that create comfortable spaces, from interiors to exteriors.

"Lazuli PDP," developed and provided by Lazuli, is a cloud service that centrally manages product information scattered across multiple external databases and organizes and connects data into a form that is easy to use. Using AI, it matches diverse product master data held by manufacturers and retailers and adds meta tags and associations based on product features.
