Nitori Net adopts the cloud product master "Lazuli PDP"

Press Release

~Automatically acquiring product information with AI and enriching e-commerce site product information quickly and accurately to improve customer experience~

Lazuli Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Seigen Hagiwara; hereinafter "Lazuli"), which develops and provides the AI-powered SaaS cloud product master "Lazuli PDP," has been adopted by "Nitori Net," operated by Nitori Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Sapporo; President and Representative Director: Masanori Takeda; hereinafter: Nitori), as an AI solution for organizing and enriching product information. Experimental deployment began in December 2023.

"Nitori Net" is an e-commerce site operated by Nitori, a home furnishings and interior design manufacturing and retail chain with more than 880 stores (as of January 8, 2024 / including overseas locations, Nitori EXPRESS, and Deco Home; excluding N+, Shimachu). Nitori Net offers a wide selection of products in a broad range of sizes, from beds and sofas to storage, daily necessities, kitchen goods, and online-only items. It also develops products tailored to user needs and provides introductions to living-space and seasonal coordination ideas. In addition, it has recently been running live commerce, and many users purchase products there.

At Nitori, a policy of further increasing the number of product listings made improving the productivity of listing operations a challenge.

Accordingly, Nitori Net introduced "Lazuli PDP" and, by using AI to automatically collect product information and reflect it on the e-commerce site, will build a highly convenient e-commerce site efficiently. "Lazuli PDP" is equipped with a high-speed crawler function independently developed by Lazuli, making it possible to automatically retrieve product information published online, organize it into the appropriate format, and then reflect it on the e-commerce site. Until now, Nitori Net staff had been contacting each manufacturer to obtain product information, but with the introduction of "Lazuli PDP," this work can be automated, greatly reducing the workload.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of users on e-commerce sites has continued to rise, and Lazuli will continue to promote the organization and utilization of product information on Nitori Net and work on further product development.

  • What is Lazuli PDP?
"Lazuli PDP," developed and provided by Lazuli, is a cloud service for centrally managing product information that was scattered across multiple external databases and organizing and linking data into a form that is easy to use. It uses AI to match and unify diverse product master data held by manufacturers, retailers, pharmaceutical companies, and others, and then adds and associates meta tags based on product features. This information is provided to users through "Lazuli PDP."
