On November 4, Lazuli Inc., which provides the product data platform “Lazuli PDP” (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Seigen Hagiwara), announced a new business strategy. In addition to providing software-centered product data preparation services, the company will now evolve into a platform and solutions business that comprehensively supports everything from data infrastructure design to operational support. Through this, it aims to provide end-to-end support for customer companies’ product data preparation and AI utilization.
Since its founding in 2020, Lazuli has provided the platform “Lazuli PDP,” which uses AI to structure and centrally manage product information, mainly to companies in the food and beverage, retail, and distribution industries. Through AI-powered product data preparation, it has built a track record in improving EC sales and customer experience, as well as automating manual work. Customer companies using “Lazuli PDP” can consolidate product information that had not been structured or centrally managed and convert it into a usable format. This allows them to easily manage and use product information that had previously been handled separately by each company or department. By enabling the creation of product information for use across various channels and systems, including e-commerce, analytics tools, and AI, it has made a major contribution to improving corporate productivity by increasing sales, reducing costs, and speeding up business operations.
In this new business strategy, we will make the most of the knowledge and know-how gained through our track record of implementations to further enhance the product’s functionality and significantly expand the services we offer, while also increasing specialists in each field to grow the business. We will expand beyond the range of services that can be provided by “Lazuli PDP” alone, from organizing management issues before implementation to designing and building data infrastructure and optimizing post-implementation operations, into a framework that supports the entire AI utilization process of companies. Specifically, we will increase the number of specialized personnel in each field, such as consultants, solution engineers, project managers, and customer success managers, creating a structure that supports customer companies’ success more broadly and deeply. This will enable customer companies to turn product data that had not been properly prepared and therefore could not be used effectively into a management asset that serves as a source of competitiveness. By building an optimal data infrastructure aligned with their own management and AI utilization strategies and streamlining the preparation and operation of product data, bottlenecks in the use of AI technologies including generative AI will be removed, making it possible to use AI and other technologies more widely and more quickly than before. This will help increase employee productivity, significantly improve customer experience value, and ultimately contribute to higher sales and profits.
As part of its market strategy, the company aims to expand business with leading companies in the B2C sector, where it has built a track record in food and beverage, daily necessities, and other areas. In addition, it will fully accelerate entry into the B2B and content sectors and promote implementations with key player companies. Going forward, it will also strengthen partnerships with major SIer companies, as well as IT companies whose strengths include diverse data management, data analysis, and consulting, expanding sales channels so it can deliver value to more companies.
Lazuli’s new business strategy is intended to fundamentally redesign how product data is used in the AI era and to become a partner that helps realize customer companies’ growth and innovation through the fusion of “product × data × AI.”
