Lazuli Inc. Kirin Brewery introduced “Foodservice AI Research” this time for its business-use craft beer service, “Tap Marché (Tapu Marche)” (※).
Although the company retains product sales data from partner restaurants, it was difficult to understand trends in the craft beer market for commercial use because it could not obtain POS data from each restaurant.
With the introduction of restaurant POS data organized by Lazuli’s “Foodservice AI Research,” it became possible to grasp accurate market data and use it in proposals to restaurant customers.
Lazuli’s “Foodservice AI Research” is a service that integrates POS data from more than 1,500 restaurants and collects and formats data so that sales volumes of drinks and food, customer counts, average spending per customer, and more can be easily analyzed. Because the vast amount of foodservice POS data up to the previous week is delivered in a state ready for immediate analysis, it can provide customer restaurants with real-time foodservice trend information, which in turn can lead to the realization of more advanced sales proposals.
Lazuli had previously been providing data to Kirin Brewery on a trial basis through “Foodservice AI Research.” By obtaining restaurant POS data, the company can grasp foodservice market conditions in real time, and sales representatives conduct data-driven sales activities. This time, by fully introducing “Foodservice AI Research” at Kirin Brewery, the company plans to analyze restaurant trends, such as visualizing improvements in restaurant unit prices through data, and to link that to sales promotion for “Tap Marché” and improvements in customer experience quality.

A craft beer service for restaurants operated by Kirin Brewery that can be started easily. It uses a dispenser developed by the company that can serve up to four types of craft beer, and adopts 3L compact PET bottle containers suited for selling multiple craft beers. On the e-commerce site, users can choose products that fit their own store from multiple lineups, making it possible to propose a wide variety of combinations of food and craft beer.
