Full-scale launch of the new AI solution "Lazuli PDP for F&B" for the food and beverage industry

Lazuli Co., Ltd., which develops and provides the cloud product master “Lazuli PDP” powered by AI technology (Head office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Seigen Hagiwara; hereinafter “Lazuli”), will officially begin providing its AI solution “Lazuli PDP for F&B (Food and Beverage),” which builds a data foundation to integrate and manage product-related data and utilizes product information for digital initiatives, for the food and beverage industry starting August 3.
In the food and beverage industry, many companies are working on analyzing marketing data, promoting online business, and leveraging AI. What is needed in that process is the acquisition of product information, entity matching, and the generation of additional information required for analysis, but in reality this must be maintained and updated with a great deal of manual effort. And there is the challenge that, in order to turn product information into a form that can actually be used for analysis and e-commerce, companies must either handle it in a labor-intensive way or give up.

Lazuli's solution for the food and beverage industry, “Lazuli PDP for F&B,” which it develops and provides, delivers entity matching, normalization, and enrichment of attributes and other information related to food and beverage product information to client companies in SaaS form. For food manufacturers and beverage manufacturers, as well as companies that analyze food and beverage data, it enables faster customer data analysis represented by POS data, as well as e-commerce and AI utilization, through the collection, organization, and enrichment of product information. By providing this solution, companies can build a foundation that allows product information to be linked with other systems and tools for use, and for companies advancing DX in the food and beverage domain, it is expected to lead to deeper customer understanding and improved customer experience value.

In addition, Lazuli has already carried out multiple PoCs with major companies, and in the second half of 2021 it plans full-scale adoption by a major food processor and wholesaler, as well as beverage manufacturers. Through the provision of the food and beverage industry solution “Lazuli PDP for F&B,” Lazuli aims to secure adoption by five companies by the end of 2021.

* What is Lazuli PDP?
“Lazuli PDP,” developed and provided by Lazuli, is a PDP for centrally managing product information that was scattered across multiple external databases, and for organizing and enriching data into a form that is easier to use. Using AI, it performs entity matching on diverse product master data held by manufacturers, retailers, pharmaceutical companies, and others, and assigns meta tags and makes associations based on efficacy and product features. This information is stored in “NINJA DB” and provided to users as “Lazuli PDP.”
