Using AI technology, Lazuli Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Seigen Hagiwara; hereinafter Lazuli), which develops and provides the cloud product master "NINJA DB"*, signed a partnership agreement on March 4 with Treasure Data Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takashi Miura; hereinafter Treasure Data), which provides CDP (Customer Data Platform, hereinafter CDP).
Currently, product master information in the supply chain, from production to distribution to retail, is not unified, and each company independently creates and manages product information and related metadata, which is hindering the promotion of DX. Lazuli's AI product master "NINJA DB" applies AI technologies such as image analysis, text analysis, and deep learning to product information from around the world, performs entity matching and metadata generation, and solves this problem. By providing an integration service between "NINJA DB" and Treasure Data CDP via API, we will promote business transformation and operational innovation through data utilization in enterprises, and through CDP, realize smoother and more advanced marketing, CRM, and automation of operations.
Through this collaboration, companies using Treasure Data CDP will be able to seamlessly perform analyses by combining the product and sales data they hold with product master data. This makes it possible to implement marketing DX, such as realizing a data-driven supply chain including category-level demand forecasting, highly effective long-tail recommendations, improved LTV through cross-sells, improved ROI on digital advertising, and UX improvements on websites.
By connecting the products of both companies, Lazuli will proactively support DX to create new value through deeper customer understanding enabled by data, improved customer experiences, and ultimately enhanced corporate value.
What is NINJA DB?
The "NINJA DB" developed and provided by Lazuli uses AI technology to collect, organize, and enrich product information from around the world, and is a SaaS-type cloud product master that provides product information in an easy-to-use format for anyone. As of November 2020, it stores approximately 27 million products and 6.4 million products with JAN codes, one of the largest in Japan, and it plans to continue expanding the number of products stored.
