Press Release

Lazuli Inc., which develops and provides the cloud product master "Lazuli PDP" using AI technology (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Seigen Hagiwara; hereinafter "Lazuli"), will speak at an online seminar hosted by Diamond Retail Media Co., Ltd. on Thursday, June 15, "Deepening Customer Understanding Brings Competitiveness: EC Market Loyal Customer Strategy".

The seminar is scheduled to consist of three parts.

Part 1

A discussion titled "'Shoptalk 2023' Latest Report and Retail Loyal Customer Strategy (Tentative)" will be held.

In March 2023, at "Shoptalk"—an event held in Las Vegas and Barcelona that is creating the future of retail—topics related to the latest technologies and consumer trends for the retail industry were featured, and various exchanges of information took place among retail professionals. Along with the latest trends introduced at that "Shoptalk," a discussion on retail loyal customer strategies using product data will be held with Isaba Shun, President and Representative Director of IBA Company, Inc., Takashi Okutani, marketing advisor at Lazuli Inc. and Special Officer, COCO at Oisix ra daichi Inc., Co-CEO and Director of Customer Time Inc., and Seigen Hagiwara, CEO and CTO of Lazuli Inc.

Part 2

Under the theme "Boosting Customer Convenience and Driving Fan Loyalty Through Online Supermarkets: Beisia's Latest EC Strategy," Tomoari Toeda, Head of the EC Department at Beisia Co., Ltd., will speak.

Centered in Gunma Prefecture, Beisia operates multiple brick-and-mortar stores and EC businesses, including supercenters, across one metropolitan area and 14 prefectures. As the group promotes its digital strategy, it is strengthening the expansion of its EC business. At Beisia, its EC strategy is being rolled out through three businesses: "App Reservations," "Mall Store Openings," and the "Online Supermarket Business" it runs as "Rakuten Nationwide Supermarket." Going forward, it plans to focus on analyzing purchasing behavior and purchase history data from both physical stores and online channels, deepen its understanding of each customer's preferences and needs, and strengthen more personalized promotions and service offerings. The presentation will explain the outline of the EC business initiatives and the future strategic direction of the accelerating online supermarket business.

Part 3

Under the title "Beisia Realizes EC Sales Growth Through Product Master Data Reform," Tomoari Toeda, Head of the EC Department at Beisia Co., Ltd., and Hideo Kitashoji, Executive Officer in Charge of Sales at Lazuli Inc., will hold a discussion.

In the retail industry, while initiatives to expand channels digitally in addition to physical stores—such as EC and online supermarkets—are increasing, many companies still fail to grow sales because their product master data has not been properly maintained. In EC and online supermarkets, product master data must be organized as product data that can be used for digital sales, so that information can be provided to customers and customer understanding can be deepened, thereby increasing loyal customers. They will discuss from their respective perspectives how Beisia organized its product master data and expanded EC sales.

Participation is free, and the first 200 people can attend.
