Lazuli Inc. (Head office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Toru Akiho; hereinafter Bic Camera), for Bic Camera’s general online shopping site “BicCamera.com,” operated by Bic Camera, starting in September 2024.

At Bic Camera, as one of the priority strategies in Bic Camera’s business strategy under the “Bic Camera Group Medium-Term Management Plan” announced in October 2024, the company has set “transforming the e-commerce business and cultivating repeat customers” and is working to strengthen customer acquisition and solve logistics issues on Bic Camera’s general online shopping site, “BicCamera.com.” Aiming to roughly double the number of product listings on the site within three years, the company is driving various improvements such as enriching product information and improving the usability of on-site search, and is pursuing a user-friendly e-commerce site.

For some time, on “BicCamera.com,” the time and effort required to collect data for increasing the number of product listings and the amount of information on each product page had become a burden. In order to handle even more products going forward, it was necessary to mechanically enrich product information, so the company decided to introduce “Lazuli PDP.”

With the introduction of “Lazuli PDP,” the company will use the vast amount of product data collected independently by Lazuli and automatically organize the data into an appropriate format, enabling a more extensive product lineup on the e-commerce site while reducing the resources required for product registration. In addition, because it also expands tag information and keywords that can be used in search, which contributes to improving the customer experience, it will also help build a more convenient e-commerce site. Until now, on “BicCamera.com,” staff individually researched and collected product information, but by introducing “Lazuli PDP,” this work can be automated and the workload can be greatly reduced.
